Ode To Colors
By
Miha Alam
I write an ode, ode to colors, I praise colors, without colors, the world would be a dark depressing place, or a black and white pirated DVD of the 21st century.
Color taught me how to perceive things in life,
I learned that,
Black is depressing, dark and gloomy, so is grey. It represents death and unfortunate days,
White, a holy color, is peaceful,
And represents innocence and purity. Red on the other hand, is confusing, red represents love, romance and passion. Red represents agony and evil, another holy color in the Chinese and Indian culture. Pink, usually used for new born or baby girls, represent femininity and womanhood, it also depicts peace and harmony and gentle emotions. Purple represents spirituality, wisdom and wealth.
Blue almost like white, symbolizes calm, peace, harmony, and friendship.
Green represents sort of contrasting ideas, it represents nature, life, fertility as well as jealousy.
Yellow represents optimism and enthusiasm. it also represents illness.
The moral of my ode is that,
life without color would be boring and depressing.
Color has made a big impact on how we perceive things.
Another moral of my ode is that,
Almost everything has positive as well as negative factors,
Everything has two sides.
It just depends on us,
what angle we look at it and perceive it as.
