A Glimpse At Myself
By Miha Alam
I take a glimpse… a glimpse at myself. I stand in front of a mirror. and stare.
I see a familiar face, yet I am unable to recognize her. I stare at her sorrowful eyes, which were fighting back the tears. I stare at her glum face, which was aching because, of putting up a fake smile in front of her family. I stare at her dry lips, unable to move and speak her will, as she has no right, right to voice her opinion.
I can see, that she ponders and asks herself, who is she? Where does she belong? Does she even belong? Is there a reason for her to live?
Her life was a melting ice, and that ice would melt no matter what. She only had one option in order to prevent the ice from melting, she had to turn cold.
She has to turn cold, she had to turn evil, she had no choice, no option, her life forced her to do this, it was her destiny.
Sometimes you have to turn cold,
In order to be strong.
