It was the first urban culture to emerge in India.Harappa and Mohanjodaro were its chief cities.
It was larger in extent than any of the other contemporary civilization.It was spread over the parts of Punjab,Sindh,Baluchistan,Haryana,Rajasthan,UP and Gujarat.
It had well planned cities and well developed drainage system.
All that the Indus culture achieved became a part of the subsequent Indian culture.
