Harappan Culture
The Harappan culture represents one of the oldest cultures of India.Its chief features are as follows:
- It was the first urban culture to emerge in India.Harappa and Mohanjodaro were its chief cities.
- It was larger in extent than any of the other contemporary civilization.It was spread over the parts of Punjab,Sindh,Baluchistan,Haryana,Rajasthan,UP and Gujarat.
- It had well planned cities and well developed drainage system.
- All that the Indus culture achieved became a part of the subsequent Indian culture.
