Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated every year on April 22.It is day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the earth's environment.Earth Day is held during both spring in the northern hemisphere and  autumn in the southern hemisphere.The UN celebrates it each year on the March equinox a tradition which was founded by peace activist John McConnell in 1969.Earth Day nework promotes environmental citizenship and year round progressive action world wide.Its network reaches over 17,000 orgnizations in 174 countries.Over half a billion people participate in the Earth Day Network campigns every year.
